American Horror Story Hotel

Now one thing you'll learn about me is I am a complete scardy cat when it comes to horror movies but I watch them regardless, eventually when I'm feeling bad for my partner who loves them. American horror story took a lot of persuading but as scared as I was I loved it and I always wanted to watch the entire series through even if it it was Asylum and I was getting catholic school flashbacks. It was tough.

So when they announced hotel I felt that again I would be tested. Hotel gives me a shining vibe and looks to contain my greatest of all fears, freaky children. I don't know if that's the Hollywood term for them but this is what I call possessed killer or ghost children (seriously never watch pet cemetery when your 7, it stays with you).

It looks interesting though, but there will be no Jessica Lange although most of the AHS alum will be returning. Lady Gaga will take a role as some form of ghoul who was the hotel owner and she is wearing a wedding dress with a Princess Di worthy train. Naomi Campbell also makes an appearance playing a fashion editor. So there will be new additions to the cast to fill the gap left by Lange and I'm sure we won't miss her too much. Hopefully.

The more I read the more excited I get, check it out on FX October 7th if your living in America for those in the UK it will be October 20th on Fox. I'm away to check under the bed for monsters, have a look at the trailer below.

Game of Thrones - The Hall of Faces Trailer and Theories!

I've been watching out for this trailer for the past week and was pretty excited to see some footage from the new season. Instead we got to see the faces of characters, some of whom are long lost, and others who have yet to leave us. SPOILER WARNING for those who haven't caught up with season five. The trailer takes place in the Hall of Faces, which is inside the House of Black and White in Braavos. The hall looks great, creepy but great. We can hear some whispers which are too quiet for me to make out. Then Ned's (Sean Bean) face appears on screen, we then hear him say a line from the show's first ever episode called Winter is Coming. "The Man who passes the sentence should swing the sword." The screen then fades to black and we then see a clip of some more rows of heads. We then hear even more whispers and which I think sounds like some drops of waters. We then hear the voice of Robb Stark (Richard Madden) who we hear give a quote from seaso

Mental Illness in TV and Film - Dementors

Image Source Dementors have haunted me ever since I read The Prisoner of Azkaban way back in 1999. I was a Pre-Teen who was pretty much unaware of the depression that was just around the corner, in a way this book prepared me for what was to come, and after multiple reads, it became my go-to reference when explaining my depression. First off let's give a brief outline of Dementors, these magical wraith-like creatures can generally be found guarding Azkaban Prison, sucking the happiness, hope, and peace out of everyone around them. Mockingjay Part 2 Teaser

So in a similar vein to Sony releasing a Bond teaser to get our juices flowing for release, Lionsgate release their own Mockingjay Part Two clip. SPOILERS AND THEORIES ARE COMING! I haven't read the books but I have a few theories after watching this clip. I may be 100% wrong though, no guarantees. So in the trailer our Mockingjay Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), is greeted by our newlywed Finnick (Sam Claflin). She comments at how short his honeymoon was and he replies stating that he'll,"be having one in the capital, after they take it." Well if this doesn't scream I'm going to die in this fight then I do not know what does. We are then greeted by Boggs (Mahershala Ali), he is commanding the non combat unit, they will be days behind the first unit and that Lt Jackson (Michelle Forbes) is his second in command. Cressida (Natalie Dorma) tells us the team are going to be the Star Squad and that Katniss is at her most effective when she is seen by the masses.
