What I Missed (9-16th Oct)

What have I missed this week? I've missed quite a bit of movie news and TV shows so this is where all my opinions go for that which I have missed out on. SPOILERS ARE COMING! Fantastic Four Going Back to Marvel? Plenty of websites are commenting on the rumour that Marvel have got the rights back from Fox for the Fantastic Four franchise. I have no idea if this is true or not but the rumour is that as Marvel has been working with Fox on a new X-Men TV show (will go into more detail later in this thread), as Fox had the movie rights to this franchise a deal/swap took place. Den of Geek was the first site to report this rumour, I don't know if I am 100% sold on this, and I'm not sure it would be the best way to go for Marvel. Can Fantastic Four really be done? I don't think so, I say give it a TV show, let's get some more character development, look what it did for Daredevil. But I could be wrong, Marvel could get this franchise, make a movie and turn it into ...

American Horror Story Hotel

Now one thing you'll learn about me is I am a complete scardy cat when it comes to horror movies but I watch them regardless, eventually when I'm feeling bad for my partner who loves them. American horror story took a lot of persuading but as scared as I was I loved it and I always wanted to watch the entire series through even if it it was Asylum and I was getting catholic school flashbacks. It was tough. So when they announced hotel I felt that again I would be tested. Hotel gives me a shining vibe and looks to contain my greatest of all fears, freaky children. I don't know if that's the Hollywood term for them but this is what I call possessed killer or ghost children (seriously never watch pet cemetery when your 7, it stays with you). It looks interesting though, but there will be no Jessica Lange although most of the AHS alum will be returning. Lady Gaga will take a role as some form of ghoul who was the hotel owner and she is wearing a wedding dress with a ...

The Bastard Executioner

From Kurt Sutter, the creator of Sons of Anarchy comes a new show the Bastard Executioner. The story follows a Warrior Knight who after seeing too much war and death, lays down his sword and goes on his merry way. Then inevitably violence finds him again and he is forced to pick up his sword and become the Bastard Executioner. Now when I heard about this show (after I picked myself up for the Sons finale) I was really excited for it. It sounded great after dealing with the sons finale, a guy who has turned his back on war being forced to take up the mantle again due to unforeseen circumstances. Maybe it's vengeance or maybe he's gone rogue. I don't know but I am intrigued to watch it and hope it can live up to the Sons hype. Check out the trailer below and The Bastard Executioner shall be on FX 15th of Sept.
