It's been over Thirty Years since the original Ghostbusters took to the streets of New York to face the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, and it's back with a reboot/remake (I am confused by this but only because this project has been rather secretive). The new shiny trailer dropped today and it will hopefully answer some of my pending questions, or it won't, let us see shall we? The trailer begun with some shots of New York City and it reminds us that 30 years ago, four scientists saved New York. We then see a shot of the Firehouse from the first two movies, and some Ghostbusters graffiti in a subway tunnel. If the Ghostbusters weren't already a thing thirty years prior to this movie then why would this graffiti exist? Or maybe I'm just reading too much into this and it's actually from later in the movie. We are told that a "New Team will answer the call," and then we get our first scene with the new cast. Ghostbusters that's who! I don't know about you but I am pumped for this movie. Woman taking on male driven franchises is a great thing and these four women all have the comedic chops to take on said role's. Now a whole bunch of stuff has been leaking from set and I'm here to take you through them and to give my opinion on them. Enjoy! Bill Murray (Peter Venkman) will be taking on a new role in this movie. He will reportedly be playing Martin Heiss, the main debunker of all things supernatural, think Walter Peck in the original. Dan Aykroyd (Ray Stantz) is reported to be playing a taxi driver and Ernie Hudson (Winston Zeddemore) has also been cast in a unspecified role. But in the most recent of news from the set it has been confirmed by director Paul Feig that Miss Sigourney Weaver herself has also been cast for this movie. So the new jungle book trailer launched yesterday and it looks amazing. We hear the familiar Scarlett Johansson in the voice over, giving a chilling yet creepy speech as the snake Kaa. She asks Mowgli (Neel Sethi), "Are you alone out here?" and tells him to, "Trust in me!" I was highly anticipating her breaking out into song, which would have been great. We see our familiar panther Bagheera (Ben Kingsley) first meeting Mowgli, a familiar lion Shere Khan (Idris Elba) and a clip of Mowgli riding on the back of Baloo (Bill Murray). When Kaa is revealed she is huge in comparison to Mowgli, I really like that they changed Kaa to a female as there was a complete lack of female characters in the original. Well besides the singing little girl with the big eyes, and Verna Felton who voiced an Elephant.
