Rogue One - Trailer Breakdown

The Rogue One Trailer actually got me really pumped for the film, yes we know how the story ends, but I'm interested to see how we get there. Today I am going to breakdown the second trailer frame by frame, and hopefully point out some things you guys may have missed. The trailer begins with (what I think looks like) an imperial shuttle landing on Jyn Erso's (Felicity Jones) home planet, as it lands Jyn's Father Galen (Mads Mikkelsen) watches from his farm and his voiceover states, "whatever I do, I do it to protect you." Director Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn) and a bunch of Shadow Troopers walk towards the farm. The trailer then cuts to a scene between Galen and a young Jyn, he asks her if she understands the point he made before which she does. Then the trailer cuts to a tense scene between Krennic with his Shadow Troopers and Galen as Jyn watches on as she hides in the long grass. Jyn then wakes up in a prison cell which she shares with another creatu...

Rogue One Trailer

It feels as if I have been hearing about the prospect of this trailer for months now, as every few days my partner asks me about it, but it's finally here so I can stop hearing him asking about it. As a Star Wars outsider I did really enjoy this trailer, I know the fan base reaction looks pretty divided (if I have to hear the words Mary Sue again I may just lose it) but I am actually interested in watching this story. Trailer Breakdown The trailer starts with an introduction to our main protagonist, Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones). Jyn is being taken into the rebel base wearing handcuffs, we also hear a voiceover which at first sounds like she is at a disciplinarian hearing, the voice sounds similar to Alistair Petrie so I presume that the incidents he is listing have actually interested the Rebellion in recruiting her. Jyn is then taken in front of Mon Mothma (Genevieve O'Reilly), we find out that Jyn has been on her own from the age of fifteen, and we also find out a few o...

Darth Clone?

SPOILERS! BEWARE! YOU BE WARNED! So The Force Awakens is less than three months away and there are more than a few theories out there in the great world wide web. One so much theory is that the biggest villain in cinematic history shall be returning to our screens. How could this be possible you may say? Vader, at the end of Return of the Jedi saved his son, killed Emperor Palpatine, and provided balance to the force as was his destiny. His body was also burned in a funeral pyre by Luke (as seen below) so how could he be brought back? Well in the trailer we see Vader's helmet, and a hooded figure hoovering over said helmet. This could possibly be the new villain of the franchise Kylo Ren who is said to be obsessed with Vader, styling himself and his helmet after him. He could possibly just be collecting Vader items, but the theory is that he (through the course of The Force Awakens and possibly beyond) is trying to clone Vader. But is this possible? Well of cour...
