Star Wars The Force Awakens Trailer and Poster Review

So this trailer hit the US screens last night, for us in the rest of the world we had to time it so we'd be awake or just wait to the next morning. I tried the first but by half two I gave up and I'm glad I did because I would have had to wait a full hour until it was posted on YouTube. I was knackered. So I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's first talk about everything I like or dislike about the poster which was released on Sunday. SPOILERS, AS I WILL BE ANALYSING FOOTAGE. I will probably be way off but just incase. What I liked: 1. The women in this poster are my favourite part, yes I am bias! Rey (Daisy Ridley) was front and centre of this poster looking pretty bad ass might I add. Leia (Carrie Fisher) is looking great, even if she is somewhat obscured by Han's (Harrison Fords) face. Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie) is also looking great clad in armour. Maz (Lupita Nyong'o) the little alien next to R2, looks interesting. All in all good to see thi...

What I Missed

I try so much guys, but sometimes things slip between the cracks or that dreaded life I have gets in the way. So sometimes I miss stuff, or would like to talk about certain items but life gets in the way. I live in the UK so most of the new trailers drop when I'm asleep or taking a night away to watch something I'm not blogging about. So here are some quick recaps of what I've missed, what I'm watching, and idea's that I've had which haven't worked out as I've been too busy. GOTHAM I've not watched this at all yet so I can't even comment on it. The reason I haven't watched it is my other half, who got me into watching it in the first place (we've all been there), has decided not to watch this anymore. I know he will eventually want to go back to it as he's a binge watcher and hates waiting week to week for episodes. Blame Netflix. So I'd like to watch it but eventually know in a few weeks I'll have to watch it all o...

Spectre Final Trailer

So the finale Spectre trailer was just released. Literally just dropped and I'm so excited, let me watch it. See I haven't even watched it yet! I've got an itchy trigger finger! Been sitting here for about thirty minutes waiting to watch it, let's hope it's worth it! Well that was short but action packed. It's a month away so Sony must have been trying to get our juices flowing and flow they did! We see our bond (Daniel Craig) on his own grand adventure to uncover the Spectre organisation after receiving a cryptic message from his past. Hmm strange. During the trailer he comes face to face with Franz Oberhauser (Christoph Waltz) and they both face off against each other. There is also a cool helicopter corkscrew, which looks so bad ass. Will Bond get answers? Will he kill everyone in the Spectre organisation? Well of course he will, maybe not everyone though, but enough for our current Bond to go retire on a desert island somewhere with Martinis and...

The Forest

So as I was watching this trailer one of my neighbours decided it would be a great idea to use a chainsaw. Freaked me right out! Anyway the trailer looks freaky. It has a twin connection which I'll never understand but it's nice to see in movies. We follow Sara (Natalie Dorma) who's twin has gone missing in Aokigahara Forest. It's rumoured that this place is where people go to commit suicide. Sidebar my research has confirmed this actually happens in real life, resulting in the forest having signs urging those to call suicide prevention hotlines and to think of there families. Sara travels to Japan in order to find her sister, she needs a guide but the locals won't go into the forest. Taylor Kinney's character seems to come to the rescue and gets Sara a guide. She makes her way into the forest, even though she is warned that spirits cannot rest there. They travel with there guide who also warns Sara to stay on the path, she then finds her sisters tent a...

Why I love the Hunger Games!

I am so pumped for Mockingjay Part Two, I am whistling like a Mockingjay daily and ever since I saw the trailer I have gotten more excited (I didn't think that was possible). I have not read the books as I watched the movie first and wanted to finish off that experience. Little  SPOILERS ARE COMING for those of you who have not seen any of the franchise. You have been warned! So I love this franchise as it's great to see a strong woman lead, not just one strong woman might I add there are a few strong female characters be it strong physically, intellectually or emotionally . Usually it's the man who takes on the institution, but not this time. It has never been more important for a woman to head an action franchise because let's face it they have been too few and far between since Sigourney Weaver took on the role of Ripley in the Alien franchise (yes there were some female action leads before this but I haven't seen or heard of these films). Hollywood have t...

Marvel Agents of Shield Season 3 Preview

So the season three trailer just posted yesterday and it looks like Skye is pretty comfortable now with her real name. For those of you who haven't seen the season 2 finale SPOILERS ARE COMING! So be warned. At the end of season two we saw Simmons being sucked up into the mysterious Kree rock she was running tests on moments after finally admitting her true feelings for the lovable Fitz (it was beautiful). This act by the Kree Rock confirms that Simmons our badass scientist has inhuman DNA, and will hopefully be getting some kick ass super power. Coulson and Skye's plan to sink the terrigen crystals which give inhumans there powers into the sea backfires when yes you guessed it the fish get infected and all go into lovely fish oil pills confirming my stance on daily multivitamins being bad for you, seriously do you want to take the chance that you might turn into a lovely piece of rock? The inhumans team is formed by Coulson and led by Skye and in a parallel to this st...

The Dark Swan

"Remember who you are Emma Swan!" There is no returning fall show I am more excited for than Once Upon A Time. Yes, I admit it! I love a good fairytale and nothing gets my juices flowing more than a great story set in a fairytale world. For those of you who haven't watched the season 4 finale  SPOILERS ARE COMING  so be warned and click away now. When we left off in Storybrooke at the end of Season 4 The Apprentice was attempting to absorb Mr Gold's dark magic by trapping it in the infamous Sorcerer's hat in an attempt to save Rumple's life. I think he was doing this for Belle as I never understood why he would help Gold when he kinda dislikes the guy. This goes south as the hat cannot hold that much dark magic and it escapes out into the centre of Storybrooke. Left with no choice Emma Swan our archetypal Lawful Good character or Saviour fuses herself with the dark magic in an attempt to save the town and her loved ones from ultimate destruction. After ...
