What I Missed This Week (16th-24th October)

For those of you who don't know this is my weekly segment where I list everything I have missed this week and comment on what I thought about said news, movies or programmes. This is just a quick overview as I have severely hurt my shoulder while moving furniture yesterday. Don't laugh, it's an old gamer injury! So apologies if I miss anything and SPOILER WARNINGS FOR SOME STUFF! BE WARNED!

The Walking Dead

So the second episode of the fifth season aired in the UK on Monday Night and it was ignored by me on Tuesday for the Star Wars Trailer. Sorry guys, I did get this episode spoiled for me by the Walking Dead's Instagram, seriously don't post anything until it's aired elsewhere, but it was mostly my fault for being on social media when I should have knew better.

So what did I think about the second episode? I liked that it involved the "B" team and them only. I think more was at stake as we feel these characters can't actually handle themselves, or are perceived as not being able to handle themselves. I as always enjoyed watching Carol (Melissa McBride) kick some ass, she's blew her normal everyday housewife cover but she has shown the town of Alexandria that anyone can be a bad ass, even them. She went from beaten woman to one of the best kick ass characters in the series. Seriously, don't say anything about her cookies, she will have you.

Enid (Katelyn Nacon) took centre stage in this episode, can I just say that Turtle was just hanging out minding its own business, but I suppose if you are that hungry you will eat anything. I thought she was a Wolf and may have lead them to Alexandria but turns out it was Aaron (Ross Marquand) by taking photos. Morgan (Lennie James) sure did get back to Alexandria quickly. The wolves attacking was pretty brutal, it's not very often we get to see Human V Human on this show but when it happens it just makes me feel uncomfortable. I know the Wolves are basically animals who will stop at nothing so it's pretty much an us vs them scenario so I'll let it pass. Morgans philosophy would just never fly with them though, and is he really not at fault for the attack as he did not kill them in the first place. All in all a great episode, I've been missing Carol in action, she's like a ninja.

Hulk in Ragnarok

If you're a regular you will remember that last week I mentioned a rumour that Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) was going to appear in Thor Ragnarok, which is set for release in July 2017, but I wasn't going to comment on it until it was confirmed. Well two minutes (I swear an oath) after I posted it was confirmed by IMDB on twitter. I wish I had connections but I find out about everything like you guys, so sorry for posting too quickly I guess.

Now I would love to see this movie and have Hulk just smash about Asgard, just thinking about it makes me laugh. Maybe he is just away into space, Asgard does look like a pretty relaxing place and after Avengers 2 it seems as though Bruce Banner would love nothing more than time away from everything. If he Hulks out though could the Asgardians help contain him, if he can easily beat up Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) wouldn't that signal some trouble, but I suppose a group of them could contain him, right?

Anyway I am getting slightly off track, I have not read the comic books but a bunch of youtube channels just spoil them willing nilly, yes I am looking at all of you with a beady eye, so I kinda know what is going to happen. If this movie has a similar storyline (which it looks as though it will due to that little scene in Avengers 2) it will be so good, and definitely one to watch out for.

Harry Potter is BACK!

Don't get too excited though, no books or movies it's just a play... for now! Yes all I talk about are movies and television shows but cut me some slack here its freaking Harry Potter. I grew up with these books, I went to what we Brits call High School as Harry was going to Hogwarts. My first year was his first year, well not officially as his actual school year was 1991 but you get my meaning. So a part of me is forever connected to this franchise.

So the play is coming to the West End and it has been confirmed that this will take place nineteen years after the events of Deathly Hallows and focus on Harry's son Albus. So not all is rosy with the Potters, again, these guys can't catch a break. Why is he cursed? Damn it, I must know. Looks like next year I will be dragging myself all the way to London to find out. But unfortunately I won't be as it is in two parts and I can't travel to London twice just to watch Harry Potter now, can I?

Spectre

So Spectre opens here in the UK on Monday (26th of October) and reviews are completely mixed. Some people love it, some hate it, some don't know what to think of it. I am still excited to go and see it but when I heard the words Quantum of Solace Two I had to let out a brief shudder. This is coming from a person who hasn't seen that movie due to negative reviews. Now I love Bond, it's an institution in this union of united kingdoms that I live it. But some Bonds are good, some aren't so much.

Maybe it was inevitable after the popularity of Skyfall for this movie to be unimpressive in comparison. Remember that thread about hype killing movies? So I will still go and see it, but I will not expect so much from it. I hear great things about Lea Seydoux in this movie so I am excited to see my first ever Bond woman. Whatever that means.

So that's it folks, all the news I missed. Did I forget something? Comment below. Honorable mentions go to AHS: Hotel which just aired on Tuesday in the UK, I know you Americans are a few in front of us but I really didn't want to watch and review anything if we are only a few episodes behind. Pirating is never good. Flash just had it seasons premiere here as well (even though I have previously watched it), so I will probably just wait for that as well as we again are only a few episodes behind. That's it, I'm moving to the US for my TV!

Watch out for my trailer recap tomorrow which will include Jessica Jones plus more. As for me I am away to rest my shoulder and watch all eight Harry Potter movies as they just appeared on Now TV, result!

Game of Thrones - The Hall of Faces Trailer and Theories!

I've been watching out for this trailer for the past week and was pretty excited to see some footage from the new season. Instead we got to see the faces of characters, some of whom are long lost, and others who have yet to leave us. SPOILER WARNING for those who haven't caught up with season five. The trailer takes place in the Hall of Faces, which is inside the House of Black and White in Braavos. The hall looks great, creepy but great. We can hear some whispers which are too quiet for me to make out. Then Ned's (Sean Bean) face appears on screen, we then hear him say a line from the show's first ever episode called Winter is Coming.    "The Man who passes the sentence should swing the sword." The screen then fades to black and we then see a clip of some more rows of heads. We then hear even more whispers and which I think sounds like some drops of waters. We then hear the voice of Robb Stark (Richard Madden) who we hear give a quote from seaso...

Lion Rampant

So for those of you who haven't heard about this project it was leaked during the Sony hack. This as a potential sequel to Braveheart called Lion Rampant, after the flag I have shown above. Really it should be called Braveheart as Robert the Bruce was called the Brave Heart and his heart was taken into battle after his death. Depicting Robert the Bruce's story and the Battle of Bannockburn (24th June 1314) in Scotlands first war for independance where King Edward II was beaten in battle by a small force lead by Robert the Bruce. Robert the Bruce in Braveheart was shown as a traitor and I am hoping that this upcoming movie would mean that he will hopefully get the makeover he so rightly deserves. Although he did pay homage to Edward I, The Bruce really secretly supported Wallace (later publicly supporting him) and he did not betray Wallace, that was Sir John Menteith. This could easily turn into a what's wrong with Braveheart post so I will state that they did get the...

I dropped the ball!

........ Image courtesy of paradigmalibu These last few months I've felt as if I have dropped the proverbial ball, my mind has been witness to a stand off between Mental health disorders and things from my past I'd rather not constantly have to relive. It's buried itself into my soul while operating my mindless drone of a body, I've relived every conversation I ever had; thought of Friends long gone as I struggle to open up about my disability. I don't even like calling it that as it feels disrespectful to people like my parents; who's struggle and sheer joy of receiving two disabled free babies has been with me my entire life. But I am not OK - I feel like I have to admit that to the world. A miscarriage has taken me back mentally to a place I've not been for a very long time, and I'm petrified t...
