Agents of Shield: A Wanted (Inhu)man Review

Wanted, wanted, dead or alive... no anyway let's do this! I again liked this episode, I felt like it was over with pretty quickly, which I suppose is a good sign as I don't really like things to drag out, does anyone really? SPOILERS ARE COMING for those of you who aren't caught up with the series. You be warned!

So it turns out the wanted (Inhu)man is Lincoln Campbell (Luke Mitchell), he is on the run from the Advanced Threat Containment Unit which is still trying to round up inhuman characters. They believe he is to blame for Lash' actions in the hospital but he gets away after using his power to do something pretty cool to a electricity pylon and making it rain. Next we see Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) and get to see how sensitive she is to light and sounds since she came back from the mysterious planet. It's then explained by the gang why she is so sensitive, shes been in a different atmosphere, being back on Earth has made Gemma's body out of whack, and we learn that the gang don't really know what happened while she was on the other planet.

Daisy (Chloe Bennett) finds out that Lincoln is in trouble and goes to both Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Mack (Henry Simmons) for help as she wants to bring him in, safely. Turns out they both put a tracker in Lincoln, and are able to find him. Daisy calls him, tries to bring him in safely, Turns out Mack planted said tracker and Lincoln fries it with his powers and smashes the phone so shield cannot track him. Mack think Daisy went about this the wrong way, they should have just went to get him, now he's fried his tracker and they may never find them.

In a bar in Massachusetts, Hunter (Nick Blood) introduces May (Ming-Na Wen) to Spud, an English contact of his who has connections to Hydra and the underworld. May gets lifted up and hugged by this guy, she won't find this fun at all. They get their drink on and then we get to see subtitles as drunk English men are apparently hard to understand, maybe just for Americans. I quib, I actually found this part pretty funny, especially as May makes a joke beforehand. May eventually gets to talk shop and it turns out if they want a in with Hydra then there going to have to fight for it, well Hunter anyway.

The Advanced Threat Containment Unit are desperately trying to capture Lincoln, so they just put out his photo calling him an alien threat. Lincoln is travelling on a bus and the news is on. As his face comes on a soldier recognises him, Lincoln tries to get off the bus before getting stopped by this guy and has to use fear in order to get off the bus. Daisy wants to go and find him but Coulson and Mack both feel that if the ATCU are after him that it would also put Daisy at risk. Coulson actually calls her Daisy at the end of this scene, and sounds pretty dad like while doing it. So she is sent to scan law enforcement channels for Lincoln's location and Mack is sent to find Rosalind Price's digits.

In the lab, Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Simmons are out for a little stroll, Bobbi (Adrianne Palicki) has a chat with them. Simmons find out the portal has been destroyed, and that is now completely safe. Simmons then hears Bobbis phone vibrate but it sounds 100x louder than in real life. Fitz then shows Simmons her desk, just how she left it. How sweet is he? Although she doesn't really notice this as every noise she hears sounds way louder than it should. She wants to leave the lab and puts it down to oxygenated stress, which Fitz sees as an improvement as she is self diagnosing.

Back in Massachusetts Hunter, who is on the phone with Bobbi, lies to her about his next move. Remember he's going to fight to the death to get a meeting at Hydra. Though he does explain to May that Bobbi knows he's lying so it's not really a lie (can I just say I love Mays Blondie tee). Hunter probs May about Andrew, telling her they all have a bet on back in HQ. He beat that May left Andrew. She distracts him by telling him he needs to win as this is there way to Ward, and she knows she can. But as Hunter points out a small Asian woman killing a bunch of guys might send red flags to team Hydra. Then May shares that Hunter lost his money by placing a bet that she left Andrew, because as it turns out he left her. Now it all makes sense.

Back on the run, Lincoln reaches out to his AA sponsor who comes and picks him up. He's the only person he trusts. They go back to his apartment, Lincoln is pretty tight lipped about his situation, and will just state that he is in trouble and needs to buy his sponsors car off of him. The guy seems pretty nice about things, he wants to help and he seems to trust Lincoln a lot, and then he turns on the news. We then see Rosalind Price (Constance Zimmer), they need results, then the white house is on the phone, turns out its not the President but instead is Coulson. He is a bit upset, she has asked everyone for help besides the people who actually know something about Inhumans. She puts him on hold then discovers that they have found Lincoln, she then agrees to meet with Coulson.

Back at HQ Daisy goes to visit Simmons in her room. Simmons calls her Skye only to apologise as Daisy brings her a bunch of Daisies. Daisy apologises that she hasn't come to see her sooner, a lots going on and she is really busy. Simmons doesn't want to talk right now but she does want to listen. Back on the run with Lincoln his sponsor is acting weird, turns out it was him who called the ACTU, Lincoln leaves him money, he zaps the bat out of his sponsors hand, who then has a heart attack from the shock of it all, or maybe the shock as he was holding the bat. Back in Simmons room it seems like she is starting to open up that is until Lincoln calls and asks for Daisy's help.

The ATCU make there way into the apartment but Lincoln is gone, hiding. Daisy and Mack are on there way to bring him in while Coulson is off to the beach. At HQ Bobbi is doing her rehab with Fitz. She is desperate to be out in the field but he reminds her to take it a day at a time. Fitz speaks to Bobbi about Simmons, he doesn't know how to help her and Bobbi gives him the idea of giving her something to look forward to, start fresh.

Coulson is at the beach with Rosalind, turns out she is like a female version of Coulson with her own Lola (car). They talk, I like how these characters both interact with each other, they both make fun of each other in their own way, along with some hand jokes. Coulson then tells her she is going about it all wrong, she can't alert the public, and it will all get very ugly, very fast if she stays on the same path. Back in Massachusetts Hunter is waiting to be picked in his fight, turns out he'll be fighting his drinking buddy from before, Spud. Turns out Spud hates him and this fight has no rules.

May then gets cornered by three guys, who force her to go for a drink. She then totally decimates these guys, I think she's been missing the action, then she jokes that she won't tell anyone that a tiny little Asian woman kicked there ass. Back in the other fight Hunter is getting his ass kicked, he then puts on a knuckle duster and ends up killing Spud.

Back at the beach, Rosalind and Coulson are still discussing the inhumans. He wants his team to take Lincoln in but she won't agree to it. Back on the run, Daisy and Mack are waiting to pick up Lincoln, as the ACTU leave Daisy goes in to where Lincoln has been hiding. Lincoln is upset as he has killed his friend and couldn't save him. Back at the beach Rosalind states she wants him as he is extremely dangerous and states that she is not hydra and won't experiment on people. Coulson has deciphered Rosalind's need for Lincoln, the President wants results, and she has yet to come up with any.

Turns out Coulson knows that Rosalind has an ace up her sleeve, a picture of Daisy, and she has yet to use it. That's the reason that he wanted to meet with her. Rosalind knows Daisy works with shield, Coulson wants to keep this quiet. Back on the run Daisy is trying to talk Lincoln into coming with them, she states that they are dangerous but Lincoln is actually good and he just wants to help people. Daisy wants to help Lincoln like he did for her back in the last season.

Then they both share a kiss, he agrees to come with her, then Mack appears with the team of ACTU agents. Coulson made a deal, Lincoln for Daisy. Lincoln escapes, again and the team then focus on Daisy. Turns out she was the backup plan if they couldn't catch Lincoln. They have three snipers on her so she can't use her powers. Mack tries to defend her. At the beach Coulson urges Rosalind to tell her men to stand down, which she won't do, he tells her he will start a war then he then offers her something better.

The ATCU team let Daisy goes. Fitz and Simmons finally go on a date, he buys the full restaurant for the evening so Simmons won't be distracted and we learn he had been holding the reservation ever since Simmons got sucked into the portal. Turns out she also took him out after he had his accident. Simmons thanks him for saving her, she seems to be getting better, until she sees the wine. Maybe it has reminded her of the alien world she just came from but she then breaks down as Fitz holds onto her in the restaurant.

Daisy then goes and shouts at Coulson for letting Lincoln get away, he tells her he has no choice and only got them to back down after offering the ACTU his expertise. He doesn't want to fight them as he can teach them, Daisy tells him not to trust them. Coulston states she is too close to this, which makes Daisy think Mack told her what happened between her and Lincoln. Rosalind then calls to check the number Coulson gave her wasn't fake.

Daisy then goes and thanks Mack for not saying anything about her kiss with Lincoln and he tells her he could use a wingman, they both play the console and sit together. Back in Massachusetts Hunter has infiltrated the first ring of Hydra, and looking forward to meeting with the boss i,e, Ward. Back at HQ Bobbi is training harder, as she comes from the gym she sees Simmons in the lab. She goes over to talk to her and asks her why she is looking at the black cree rock. Bobbi reassures Simmons that the portal won't open again, turns out this is bad news, Simmons has to go back.

This episode was pretty enjoyable, they are being pretty accurate with Simmons and her PTSD. I don't think she has to go back due to some Stockholm syndrome but I believe she has a purpose to fulfil in the alien world, and it will be the only way that she can get better. Maybe it has something to do with inhumans, or maybe he has a theory now that she has had time to think over things. I've no idea what will happen, but I'm excited for episode four. No crazy Ward this episode but I am enjoying the dynamic between May and Hunter so far. How did you find this episode? Was it good or bad, please comment below.

Game of Thrones - The Hall of Faces Trailer and Theories!

I've been watching out for this trailer for the past week and was pretty excited to see some footage from the new season. Instead we got to see the faces of characters, some of whom are long lost, and others who have yet to leave us. SPOILER WARNING for those who haven't caught up with season five. The trailer takes place in the Hall of Faces, which is inside the House of Black and White in Braavos. The hall looks great, creepy but great. We can hear some whispers which are too quiet for me to make out. Then Ned's (Sean Bean) face appears on screen, we then hear him say a line from the show's first ever episode called Winter is Coming.    "The Man who passes the sentence should swing the sword." The screen then fades to black and we then see a clip of some more rows of heads. We then hear even more whispers and which I think sounds like some drops of waters. We then hear the voice of Robb Stark (Richard Madden) who we hear give a quote from seaso

Mental Illness in TV and Film - Dementors

Image Source Dementors have haunted me ever since I read The Prisoner of Azkaban way back in 1999. I was a Pre-Teen who was pretty much unaware of the depression that was just around the corner, in a way this book prepared me for what was to come, and after multiple reads, it became my go-to reference when explaining my depression. First off let's give a brief outline of Dementors, these magical wraith-like creatures can generally be found guarding Azkaban Prison, sucking the happiness, hope, and peace out of everyone around them. If you have had a horrible life marked by loss and abuse (just like Harry) you are much more affected by them than someone who has not, as they also cause depression and despair in there victims. They can sense and taste fear, but thankfully they can't seem to tell people of the same build from each other, and they are able to communicate wit

Mockingjay Part 2 Teaser

So in a similar vein to Sony releasing a Bond teaser to get our juices flowing for release, Lionsgate release their own Mockingjay Part Two clip. SPOILERS AND THEORIES ARE COMING! I haven't read the books but I have a few theories after watching this clip. I may be 100% wrong though, no guarantees. So in the trailer our Mockingjay Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), is greeted by our newlywed Finnick (Sam Claflin). She comments at how short his honeymoon was and he replies stating that he'll,"be having one in the capital, after they take it." Well if this doesn't scream I'm going to die in this fight then I do not know what does. We are then greeted by Boggs (Mahershala Ali), he is commanding the non combat unit, they will be days behind the first unit and that Lt Jackson (Michelle Forbes) is his second in command. Cressida (Natalie Dorma) tells us the team are going to be the Star Squad and that Katniss is at her most effective when she is seen by the masses.
