Game of Thrones: Season 7 Trailer Breakdown

This trailer opens with the beautiful Light of the Seven by Ramin Djawadi - which you will remember from Cersei's trial last season - the first shot we see is Sansa (Sophie Turner) walking away from the Weirwood, she looks as though she is burdened by something (or possibly someone), and she begins to look around as if she wants to turn back but forces herself not to as a voiceover from Littlefinger (Aiden Gillen) begins to talk over her.

"Don't fight in the North, or the South, fight every battle everywhere, always in your mind,"

The next shot we see is the gate of Castle Black opening, if you look really hard you will notice that it is, in fact, Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) and Meera (Ellie Kendrick) arriving at the wall, we then see a shot of Jon (Kit Harington) beyond the wall which could mean those specific rumours about them trying to capture a White Walker could be true.

The next thing we see is an army wearing Kingsguard colours marching into a crowded area with Lannister banners hanging on the walls, this is probably our first glimpse of Casterly Rock because I have never seen the Lannister clad castle in the background. Cersei (Lena Headey) looks around as she stands in the caves below the Red Keep, it is very dark and I can't make out much, but it almost looks as though she's standing in front of bone.

Next we see a clip of Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) as drags her fingers along the map table in Dragonstone as she looks at her lost Kingdom, then we see a clip of a number of men with fishermen's nets getting into some row boats on the beach, and then Arya (Maisie Williams) on her horse looking towards something ominous in the distance.

Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) is in his new black armour walking outside some castle which doesn't look like the Red Keep, by the look of the stone it sort of looks like a close up of Casterly Rock which we saw earlier, could this possibly mean that Jaime will be going back home this season? Next, we see that creepy shot of Littlefinger from the previous trailer - he does love snooping from dark places - then we see what looks like the sharpening of a blade, and Daenerys walks along the beach at Dragonstone as we begin to hear a voiceover from Jon.

"For centuries our families fought together against their common enemy, despite their differences together, we need to do the same if we're going to survive because the enemy is real, it's always been real,"

During this voiceover we see a clip of Daenerys ripping down Stannis' banner, the three Dragons flying towards Dragonstone, Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) is outside Dragonstone looking burdened, a clip of Theon (Alfie Allen) as a ship burns around him, Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson) appears to be in a boat looking towards a small cave, Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) and Podrick (Daniel Portman) are in the courtyard at Winterfell.

Next we see the Hound (Rory McCann) turning as he is covered in snow, then a clip of an unsullied falling dead on the floor, the Lannister army are then met by Dothraki riding horses into battle, a ship is on fire, as it is getting boarded it sort of looks as though Yara (Gemma Whelan) jumps into action with her sword but I cannot confirm it is her because of the angle and next we see the Lannister army being commanded by Jaime who has Bronn (Jerome Flynn) at his side,

A Crow becomes warged into - probably by Bran - as it flies beyond the Wall, the Night's King (Richard Blake) looks upwards as if these two scenes are connected but they might not be, Bran is then seen in a clip using his warging ability, then we see him in a wheelchair at the Weirwood tree in Winterfell and he is not alone, the Maester who served the Bolton's is with him.

Next we see a clip of Beric Dondarrion (Richard Dormer) who is looking very Azor Ahai with his flaming sword, then we see the Greyjoy fleet heading towards Kings Landing (this is probably Euron), an army of Unsullied stand in formation, then we see a clip of them fighting with Lannister soldiers, and then a small group of Unsullied infiltrate what looks like Casterly Rock as they open the gates for the others (this is probably connected to the cave from earlier).

Daenerys is looking out towards the ocean at Dragonstone, Jaime is riding alone across a flaming battleground with a spear in hand, an explosion happens on a ship as someone tries to crawl up some stairs, Tormund (Kristofer Hivju) battles in the snow and Drogon flies across the battlefield above the Dothraki. Yara and Theon look up towards something bright, balls of fire hit masts, and it looks as though their ship is being boarded.

Lannister soldiers prepare for an attack, Jon, possibly Beric (flaming sword in the background), and the rest of his party get surrounded by an army of wights. Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel) and Grey Worm finally seem to be embracing their love, Tyrion looks shocked in Dragonstone, a warrior who has been blinded by the light unsheathes his sword in the Dragonpit (Cleganebowl?), Jon and Davos (Liam Cunningham) are talking at Dragonstone.

A White Walker fights with Jon in front of a cave entrance, Dothraki ride into the fire, the fishermen from earlier load the boats as a character (cannot make him out) falls into the water desperate for a drink, and Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbæk) fights on Yara's ship.

Drogon sits menacingly outside Dragonstone (possible to greet Jon), as Jons raiding party beyond the wall tightens it's circle Sansa begins her voiceover:

"When the snows fall and the white winds blow the lone wolf dies but the pack survives."

We then see a clip of someone covered in furs beyond the Wall fleeing on his horse, we then see a clip of Jon fighting a Wight as a group of them just stand back and watch him.

Trailer Thoughts and Theories

This trailer has definitely gotten me excited for the season ahead, any trailer would but this one looks as though there is going to be a ton of battles which can be a good thing. I do love the politics of the show but sometimes you just want to watch a dragon riding into battle. I have a few theories when after watching this and also some moments which I would like to talk about.

Firstly the opening is beautiful, it looks as those Sansa is going to have some internal conflict this season which I sort of don't want this season, I want Littlefinger to think she is playing his game but for him to be double-crossed in a way similar to that which he did to Ned in the first season, and I really don't want the Stark kids to be fighting amongst themselves after all they've gone through alone.

I'm really looking forward to finally seeing Casterly Rock this season, from the tiny part we saw it looks beautiful, and if Grey Worm along with his small group of Dothraki infiltrate it through a cave (similar to how they won Meereen) like it looks in the trailer I will be so happy for spotting it beforehand.

During the shot of Jaime riding alone in the battlefield, he looks extremely dirty but also very ticked off, I believe that he will come head to head with Tyrion but hopefully, Jaime will eventually come over to his side and not become Dragon chowder. The clip of the lone rider beyond the wall is also bothering me because it looks like Jon and company will be unsuccessful in their attempts to capture a White Walker, how will they be able to cross the wall if they do anyway?

I also believe that all living Starks will reunite this season, hopefully, Jon and Bran won't pass by each other again, and we will finally get to see them all together for once. I think the pack survival line means we will see the family as one, but I also really hope we see Arya run into Nymeria and her wolf pack this season because as we've learned from previous season the Starks need all the help they can get.

I am also desperate to know what character is running towards water desperately thirsty and what character is unsheathing his sword in the dragonpit; there are Lannister soldiers in the background but they can't show the face. I think something very important, which has been theorized and talked about online for some time is about to happen. Are we about to get some Cleganebowl please?

Game of Thrones - The Hall of Faces Trailer and Theories!

I've been watching out for this trailer for the past week and was pretty excited to see some footage from the new season. Instead we got to see the faces of characters, some of whom are long lost, and others who have yet to leave us. SPOILER WARNING for those who haven't caught up with season five. The trailer takes place in the Hall of Faces, which is inside the House of Black and White in Braavos. The hall looks great, creepy but great. We can hear some whispers which are too quiet for me to make out. Then Ned's (Sean Bean) face appears on screen, we then hear him say a line from the show's first ever episode called Winter is Coming.    "The Man who passes the sentence should swing the sword." The screen then fades to black and we then see a clip of some more rows of heads. We then hear even more whispers and which I think sounds like some drops of waters. We then hear the voice of Robb Stark (Richard Madden) who we hear give a quote from seaso...

Lion Rampant

So for those of you who haven't heard about this project it was leaked during the Sony hack. This as a potential sequel to Braveheart called Lion Rampant, after the flag I have shown above. Really it should be called Braveheart as Robert the Bruce was called the Brave Heart and his heart was taken into battle after his death. Depicting Robert the Bruce's story and the Battle of Bannockburn (24th June 1314) in Scotlands first war for independance where King Edward II was beaten in battle by a small force lead by Robert the Bruce. Robert the Bruce in Braveheart was shown as a traitor and I am hoping that this upcoming movie would mean that he will hopefully get the makeover he so rightly deserves. Although he did pay homage to Edward I, The Bruce really secretly supported Wallace (later publicly supporting him) and he did not betray Wallace, that was Sir John Menteith. This could easily turn into a what's wrong with Braveheart post so I will state that they did get the...

I dropped the ball!

........ Image courtesy of paradigmalibu These last few months I've felt as if I have dropped the proverbial ball, my mind has been witness to a stand off between Mental health disorders and things from my past I'd rather not constantly have to relive. It's buried itself into my soul while operating my mindless drone of a body, I've relived every conversation I ever had; thought of Friends long gone as I struggle to open up about my disability. I don't even like calling it that as it feels disrespectful to people like my parents; who's struggle and sheer joy of receiving two disabled free babies has been with me my entire life. But I am not OK - I feel like I have to admit that to the world. A miscarriage has taken me back mentally to a place I've not been for a very long time, and I'm petrified t...
